Lost all things when I got on

I had a diamond sword with sharp 4, and knock 2. Also a bow with Power 5, flame 1, punch 2. The next day, today, July 14, I logged on and it was all gone. I realize that when you go into spectate mode, you lose all your things, and I even put them in the ender chest before I spectate. This never happened to me this time when it just randomly disappeared. I'm not posting this because I want my stuff back, just telling you to post a sign to put things in ender chest to prevent loss of items before logging off or spectating. Thanks
